Congestion pricing's fine print

Foreign diplomats who reside here will likely be exempt from paying for congestion pricing, as the fee is considered to be a "tax":

TRAFFIC-FEE BID PUTS CITY IN JAM WITH FEDS

Bloomie feels that if the plan is not implemented during his lame duck days, it will never be put in place:

TRAFFIC FEE NOW OR NEVER: MIKE

The only politician to thus far adamantly oppose the mayor's congestion pricing plan is U.S. Rep. Anthony Weiner. So of course, Bloomie's miffed with him:

Mike: Weiner too quick to rip $8 fee

The mayor used this as more proof that the plan is necessary:

Gasp! N.Y. air 'everyday threat'

Report: NYC Air Quality Has Gotten Worse

(Allowing developers to pave over every available green space in the city was not seen as a problem, however.)

Now pollution has raised its ugly head from the slimy pond of development, don't let it slip under the water again.

Maybe some newspaper will pick this up, but we all know better now what they write about and who they cover.

Its really up to you, John Q Public. Everytime a Ratner or a Suna or a Maltz or a Mattone wants to drain a wetlands/pave over a front yard/ seize a shoreline its up to you to bring this up again and again.

Look at your family. Its their lives, their future that you are fighting for. You words are an echo of those bullets at Lexington and Concord.

"They paved paradise and put up a parking lot"! So goes a late 60s Joni Mitchell lyric!

Worse yet, they're building high rise Behemoths that are breaking our infrastructure and belching more toxins into the air we inhale!

"Breathe deep....while you sleep. The air...the air is everywhere"! Some more song lyrics....this time from the Broadway musical "Hair"!
