Condo, condo, condo

A QC reader sent this in:

"...at 44th Drive (around the corner of 21st Street) manufacturing property being converted into condos."

The Crapper would pass by there on occasion over the past few months and noticed that the industrial property was being advertised by Greiner-Maltz, an industrial realtor, as the perfect spot for new residences.

The sign was perhaps inspired by that famous Latin love song, "Condos, condos, condos."

Most of these LIC properties are on located on formerly contaminated sites!

Only a "yuppie" with more money than brains would choose to live here!

Not to worry though....... the medical conditions won't show up for years!

Advice..... get a good health insurance plan in the meantime!

Yeah......see if the real estate agent includes a health disclaimer in the sales contract!

You said it, Queens Crapper! It is inspired by the latin love song, "Condo, Condo, Condo."

"Di mi quando tu verrai.
Di mi quando, quando, quando."

["Tell me when you will see me.
Tell me when, when, when."]

New English lyrics:

"Tell me when we're all gonna die.
Building condos, condos, condos."

[From American Bandstand: "I give it a "10", Dick. It's got a good beat and you can dance to it!"]

BTW, the BEST version of "Quando", in my humble opinion, is the one recorded by Engelbert Humperdinck (I kid you not!) - give it a listen. It's got a kick-ass Samba beat!
