We're now doing photo ops over traffic lights...

From Sunnyside Post:

A new traffic light has gone up at the intersection of 43rd Avenue and 47th Street, in response to complaints about reckless drivers speeding down 43rd Avenue putting pedestrians at risk.

The intersection is just a block away from Little Friends Pre-K, a 56-seat school that small children and their parents walk to. It is also an intersection used by many pedestrians who walk to the 46th Street train station.

To mark the installation, Councilman Jimmy Van Bramer, representatives of the Department of Transportation and pre-school children turned out to celebrate.

It's a stop light, Jimmy. Relax.

This is the theatrics of an election year...

Why did it take over 20 years to get that light installed ?

I am so sorry for the citizens of Jimbrowski's district except for the people that are willfully being used for his photo-op.

I hope people don't get too comfortable, reckless jerks still run lights and make sharp turns around pedestrians who don't move fast enough.

My friends in Brooklyn had a few chuckles when them came across his newsletter which seems to be devoted to him him him - oversized just like his ego one said.

Did I mention one of them worked for a PR firm that did stuff for politicians?

You can thank Vision Zero for that. Traffic has gotten so slow that frustrated drivers take every opportunity to make up lost time.

I live here and I welcome the light. It's needed.

Do politicians need to self-promote? Yes, occupational hazard. Maybe you should relax.

Check out the big guy with the glasses at the very far left. Seems like he has a nice bird's eye view of something.

That traffic life would be responsible for saving MORE lives if it had fallen on a cradle-to-graver like JVB's politically damaged head, as all of his constituents could replace that REBNY addict with someone who is finally responsive to the needs of the constituency.

At this point, I would appoint a HEROIN addict to replace that selfie-centric narcissist of epic fail!

naw, the publicity hogging Queens politicians are legendary around the city with insiders snickering that if Lincoln Center were in Queens they would insist on being the first act.

those oversided mailers they send out with pix of them in EVERY picture is an eye rolling standing joke of the town.

I noticed how the kid are looking at JVB with a sense of disdain !

It really is too bad that Nepalese singing sensation Dikyi Ukyab and hottie Amanda Nasner are not on staff anymore.

Amanda is currently busy getting paid big bucks to dodge the communities of CB5 when they ask her questions about homeless policy.

The only nice thing about Amanda Nasner is that she is super hot!!!!!!! She's super cold when it comes to community problems.
