Lawyers seeking to toss out rape charges against a Queens city councilman are citing Rudy Giuliani's extramarital dalliances on the city's dime as part of their latest arguments.

Current reports [suggest] the former mayor of New York had subsidized trysts in the Hamptons at public expense," lawyers for Dennis Gallagher argued in legal papers filed in Queens Supreme Court.
"History therefore teaches that human beings certainly commit stupid, sometimes self-destructive - even if not criminal - acts," the papers say.
Sometimes they even rape grandmothers in their offices and pretend their marriages are still intact, too.
