By way of Curbed, we came across this site about the Citicorp building being a sundial.

when the were building it I said they should have made it look more like the "F" finger towards the current Tammany Hall...

Buffalo Bob: "Hey kids, what time is it?"

Peanut Gallery: "It's Howdy Doody time!"

Wait till Suna's little waterfront grab blocks sunlight to the Queensbridge Houses.

Want to hear what Rev Taylor has to say about that.

"Three o'clock is always too late or too early for anything you want to do."

Reminds me of the Aztec temples as sundials.

I wonder if the Citibank executives perform human sacrifice (for their own bonus) by forced unpaid overtime to the tune of up to 1000 or more hours per year?

And, how do the control freaks screw the shareholders?

They'll need a sundial to tell time when the power goes out this summer.

Looks like something Mayor Mike should sit on!

Hey....George.....
I'm old enough to have actually sat in the real
genuine "Peanut Gallery" (2 times)
at the NBC Studios in Rock Ctr.

I wish I still had my Howdy Doody hand puppet.

I'd show 'em all how to run a municipal government!

P.S.

George....I know you're gonna like this one.

If we really had a Godless government....
instead of having Mayor Mike running NYC
like a demagogue....we'd be far better off !

Are those 7 cast shadows
depicted in the drawing
to be the next blocks in City Corp's
plan of conquest ?

Banzai !
More over development
is good for banking !

What an amusing obelisk.

Sit on it !!!

I guess that Suna & his elitist buddies feel
that those "darkies" that inhabit Queensbridge
deserve some darkness !

How many years after the end of the Civil War
and we're still screwing people of color ? !!!

In Manhattan, the community boards and elected officials take a leadership role in stopping stuff like this - look at all the battles, for example, with buildings causing shadows in Central Park.

THE COMMUNITY BOARDS AND ELECTED OFFICIALS IN QUEENS ARE NOT FULFILLING THEIR MANDATE IN SERVING THE PEOPLE.
