I am 100% in favor of this project. Getting to the east side from Penn Station is a pain-in-the-ass-and-a-half!
Do you suppose that
this giant "earth eating machine"
can be detoured in the direction of City Hall ?
Undermine its foundation.....
and watch it all collapse into a sinkhole.....
while all those cockroach council members
are scrambling for the nearest exit !
What a scenario for some
big screen NYC sci-fi fantasy flick.....
in 3D surround sound Technicolor !
Oh,we know, the building is landmarked.
But the sacrifice would be worth it.
Then some enterprising young councilman
just might propose starting from scratch
and re-write our municipal landmarks law.....
strengthening it to address
its shortcomings in the outer boroughs.
Now that's some real fiction !
