St. Saviour's back on the market

Hmmm...this sounds amazingly like the St. Saviour's property. But St. Saviour's is not vacant land and a buyer can't build 85,000 sq ft of residential there as-of-right. We all know developers and realtors never lie about such things.
Queens history for sale for $10 million on CraigsList!

An open letter to Mayor Michael Bloomberg:

Buy the St. Saviour's site out of your pocket change
and turn it over to the residents of Maspeth
as a holiday gift. Don't miss this rare opportunity.

Sincerely,
Your loving constituent.

P.S.
Replanting it with new trees
will go a long way in polishing up
your tarnished image.

JPCA should buy it, as well as the resisdents who live near it. Only then will they have a right to say what should be done with the property.

Why? The city has used eminent domain before to save other historic sites. Fraunces Tavern comes to mind and doesn't have all this land around it.

Mayor Bloomkberg already gave Maspeth the Gas Tanks site for a park. As they say on Oliver Twist, "You want more?"

At the same time, if the Bushwick Inlet park site can be obtained through eminent domain, why not St. Savior's?

The developers are starting to repeat themselves. This is an old, tired arguement.

The Gas Tank Park is in Elmhurst.

In one breath people here rail against the use of eminent domain, and in the next they advocate for its use here when in suits their opinions. Hypocritical.

No. The idea behind eminent domain is to take land for public use or public good - such as acquiring parkland.

What most people here are against is taking land for private development. No one is advocating that for St. Saviours.

Somebody ought to do
a background check on this "Israeli developer"
who came all the way across the seas
just to destroy a historic American site
in a small town.

Maybe he got kicked out of his own land .

That "Israeli developer"
probably couldn't make it
there at home !

Hey, check out Tomer Dafna, or as Gallagher calls him, "Tommy."

Mr. Dafna has a bunch of skeletons in his closet. Even more than the pink-piece-o-crap rapist, Gallagher.
