BDB caught off guard by raid

From the NY Times:

Two days after Mayor Bill de Blasio signed a sweeping civil settlement with the federal government over New York City’s public housing system, federal and local investigators seized documents and other items Wednesday from a Queens office of the city’s housing authority.

The investigators questioned housing officials, cloned computer hard drives and took the city-issued cellphone of a senior manager overseeing lead abatement, according to two people briefed on the matter.

Then they returned on Thursday.

The surprise visit rattled officials and pierced the veneer of common purpose presented by Mayor de Blasio on Monday when he announced that the city would commit at least $1.2 billion in extra funding for needed repairs in New York City Housing Authority buildings. With the agreement with the U.S. attorney in Manhattan, Geoffrey S. Berman, the city avoided a civil trial that would have examined longstanding problems at the authority, including failure to test for hazardous lead paint over several years.

“We agreed to create a common game plan,” Mr. de Blasio said.

The searches were conducted by the city’s Department of Investigation, the inspector general for the Department of Housing and Urban Development and the Environmental Protection Agency, and they appeared to catch top officials at the housing authority off-guard. The investigators arrived at the building on 49th Avenue in Long Island City without a search warrant, relying instead on the city agency’s power to directly access city records without a warrant, according to one of the people briefed on the raid.

Can we arrest this guy already? Everyone knows he's as corrupt as the day is long. He's been investigated numerous times and somehow manages to skate away to create more problems. If none of these investigations are going to lead to any consequences against him, what's the point? Either get him out of office or stop wasting our time and tax money.

Bill de Bastard is going to wish he got indicted for his honest graft illegal city hall slush fund Campaign for one New York after this. Because he is certain to get it now with the EPA and HUD participating.

Bill de Bastard is going to whine that he is being persecuted for his (faux) progressive stance and policies by these federal agencies which are led by conservative appointees (who are actually as corrupt and stupid as he is), but it ain't gonna wash. His continuous lies have endangered the lives of children and the habitability of hundreds of thousands of residents and he still defends the odious Shoya Olatoye. Neoliberal heads are going to roll.

The first to be subpoenaed before the warrants come in for all the administrative suspects at NYCHA will be vampire calimari for housing, deputy mayor Alicia Glen, for this was her plan to force neglect and exacerbate debilitating and hazardous conditions to induce people to move and then to award her real estate pals to renovate the buildings and build over playgrounds on pure speculation to get the funding to make necessary improvements and remove lead and mold.

I don't see why people are complaining.

Preet cleared this guy!

There is nothing to see here!

You don't think these guys are politically motivated, do you?

Where are Preet and Vance, to dismiss these charges, as they did before?

The have nots get less so the haves can have more. Blessed be REBNY!
Dummies! Don't you know the long term plan is to supplant public housing with luxury housing?
NYC needs all the developable spaces they can get. Urban...or ethnic cleansing ....is the long term game plan.

Peer didn't have time to finish. The timing between his departure and the clearing of DeBlasio by his successor was about 1 week. I would not rule out some kind of collusion between DeBlasio and Trump on this issue - some kind of tense truce they're forging over how NYC will be handled while they are both in office.

'I would not rule out some kind of collusion between DeBlasio and Trump on this issue '-

I would warn you that marijuana is not legal in NYC yet.

1. Preet CLEARED DeBlasio.

2. Trump and DeBlasio would not be allies. He is a supporter of Sanctuary City and protects illegal aliens.

To suggest that they are working together is just ridiculous.

That's what that meeting they had was surely about weeks before Stronghead Trump's inauguration. They probably exchange tips on how to address the fourth estate, via refusals, maligning and undermining

De Bastardo actually met Trump just weeks after the Dotard promised and assured Preet that his job wasn't in jeopardy.

Nope! Check your timeline. Joon Kim acting prosecutor was in place when DeBlasio was cleared.

Politics makes for strange bedfellows. Just because on the surface the fauxgressive DeBlasio opposes Trump doesn't mean he would not make a deal to save his own skin. Just because Trump is president doesn't mean DeBlasio would be unable to make life for him and his local associates in NYC very unpleasant. Don't accept that just because the superficial issues the media focuses on divides these two that they cannot strike a deal push come to shove, in a limited but respected capacity behind closed doors.

the link between Dumblasio and Trump is Michael Cohen, the shyster mentioned in this article
http://www.businessinsider.com/nyc-taxi-king-rise-fall-2017-8
is not only Michael Cohen's partner but was also Dumblasio's Top donor
and Blasio was not cleared by Bharat as he was fired by Trump prior to the investigation concluding
