This deli guy doesn't seem to bright. Parking turnover created by meters should be much better for business than parking spots that are taken all day by the same vehicles. The meters enable people who just want to stop for a sandwich or coffee the ability to park and buy rather than just cruise on past because there are no AVAILABLE parking spots. Take a look at Malba deli in Whitestone, which is begging for meters so their customers have available parking. The neighboring storefronts are mostly vacant because of the lack of parking turnover.
police should be able to park wherever they want, whenever they want. there is important work to do in the police station. they should park in handicapped spots and in crosswalks. it's important they get to their jobs. if they don't get to their jobs then we will get terrorized and vandalized. we need them to be able to park or else we will be terrorized and vandalized.
They're at their jobs already. In an emergency, they can pull in anyplace they want. The problem is when they (and fire fighters, etc.) pull in and park at bus stops or spots like these or double-park (go look at Junction Boulevard by Lefrak City), stick their shields in the windshields and park there for hours.

Why your neighborhood is full of Queens Crap
"The difference between dishonest and honest graft: for dishonest graft one worked solely for one's own interests, while for honest graft one pursued the interests of one's party, one's state, and one's personal interests all together." - George Washington Plunkitt
The above organizations are recognized by Queens Crap as being beneficial to the city as a whole, by fighting to preserve the history and character of our neighborhoods.
