if my memory serves me correctly it only cost 50 cents to ride the bus back in the early 80's. On Sunday's it only cost 25 cents.
I used to take the bus regularly to this place called Mike's Comic Hut on Northern Blvd, near the LIRR Murray Hill station and also to Kissena Lake to fish.
Sorry to bore y'all with these details.
