Quinn re-elected speaker

From the Gotham Gazette:

As expected, Council Speaker Christine Quinn, who took the reins of the City Council in 2006, was re-elected to a four-year term as speaker this afternoon by a vote of 48 to 1.

The only dissenter was Councilmember Charles Barron, who was also running for the position.

I don't know which is more pathetic, that Ms. Piggy received almost every vote or that Mr. Hate was the only one to vote for himself!

LMAO, I would've loved to heard Barron be the speaker of the house. Imagine how emotionally charged every subject would've sounded? But no, the ass kissers voted the Mayor's bitch back. This comes as no surprise.....

re:LMAO, do you really want a "former black panther
party member" in any government position?

please research what their agenda was , and how they planned to execute it.did you ever read about Joann Chesimard, who murdered a N.J. State trooper in cold blood? she has been in Havana,Cuba ,wined and dined
by the Castro communists for thirty-five years.

hold your nose while voting for the sub-par candidates available now,but do not destroy your chance for a free country by installing despots.

AT least Barron stood up against Quinn while the rest of the unethical useless city council didn't even bother to run against her. disgusting. Also Vallone Jr. is a piece of shit. This man is lecturing Barron when Vallone JR and his father push for the term extension for his own job. disgusting. Vallone is a useless idiot.

watch this -- her head can't be any lower as people chant no third term

Watch Quinn with her head down as low as humanly possible...some leader. She is going to crack down on corrupt city council members though. She is now going to make sure they actually live in their district.

Why does she need high priced defense attorney's that specialize in white collar crime for her and her staff. We the tax payers are paying for her 600 dollar an hour defense attorney.

See the date of this article...what do you think the bill for her defense attorney is as of today.

She represents developers and not the people of NYC.
