Illegal aliens sleeping in LI woods

HUNTINGTON STATION, N.Y. (AP) -- A dozen Latino day laborers living in the woods of a New York suburb can't stay in the local county's long-term emergency housing because they are undocumented.

Suffolk County officials said Friday that the legal status of the men living in tents in the woods of Huntington Station makes them ineligible for county housing.

Department of Social Services Deputy Commissioner Ed Hernandez says the state doesn't reimburse the county for housing undocumented immigrants.

In recent days, the temperatures have plummeted on Long Island. On Friday, the high was about 32 degrees.

Hernandez says he doesn't know where the men should live.

One of them, Nino Bonilla, says a tent in the woods is his only option.

Why don't these useless bums go back to Latin America, where it's nice and warm? They're not needed here, that's for sure. GO HOME.

El Chupacabras !!

I had these F_kers coming out from Riverhead (via the LIRR tracks) stealing my figs, tomato's and corn in Southold.
They also steal Weber Kettles, Kerosene, pet chickens, goats, pigs, turkeys bust out all the farm stand lock boxes

On full moon nights people have to get together and sit shotgun all night.
You can see them on inferred running through the woods in packs like monsters.
You see these green images (all the same in baseball caps with no faces) Its real REAL freaky.

Sometime you find homebrew arrows, remains of poached & slaughtered pets, gut piles, a bump key busted in your door

Some of these city bleeding hearts pinkos call me a racist yet haven't a experienced how destructive, primitive and savage these criminals are.

Like clockwork Its mostly church's and these bogus ministrys that keep giving them property to hide on.
One pro tweeder husband and wife team running a shelter out by in Corum just hit the lottery for $150 million.
F_ these people make them go home !!

How about where they came from?

Then that's where they should send ICE Immigration enforcement to round them up and send them back to where they came from.

should be easy, wait to they all line up for the free breakfasts.

You can see the homeless tents from the service road off the LIE. Expecially now when there are no leaves for cover. They have been there at least 2 years that I am aware of.

"where should they live"? How many guesses?

Last year they were over on the corner of Hamilton Place and the service road of the LIE. I saw sanitation and DOT cleaning the area out last year. They brought out mattresses, bags of clothes and other garbage. I see the rummy's going through holes in fences by the LIE to hang out and get drunk too then come out and disturb people...

Put them on a 1 way ticket to their warm home south of the border.

These people come here to make a small living for them and most likely their families.

It's those Italian/Jewish/Greek and Irish scumbags who hire them to get a little extra profit every week.

DON'T HIRE THEM and THEY WILL LEAVE.

Hey...we're in the middle of "the great recession".

Yeah...that's what they're calling it now.

Middle class shanty towns will be popping up soon.

Think of all those "white flight" boobs who moved out of NYC just to escape the troublesome minority groups.

New York City is turning out to be the better place to live.
At least the real estate taxes are lower than the island.

Watch out though.

If those mobsters from Dix Hills find anyone camping on their turf there will be hell to pay!

I thought Bloomberg was giving out airplane tickets. Send them here I'll be happy to chip in for the tickets (in addition to my taxes.)

I was listening to 109 / 111 prct feed that Crapper was kind enough to post on Sat night. All you hear from Flushing is unconscious males sleeping in the street calls. No need to wonder who they may be. More tax $ down the drain...

Godless George is right! We need less Bloomie, more Joe.

The immigration reform bill won't get our of the starting gate. The parties who conspired to shove it down our throats last time - labor's Change to Win Federation and the US Chamber of Commerce (each for their own selfish reasons) - are now at each OTHER's throats on the subject.

can anyone say deportation?? holy shit where the hell is ICE..

let's get rid of them one flight out back to their countries.

Amen to that - They can sleep on the plane.

Those homelss are back sleeping at the little park off Hamilton/65th Place. The place is filled with their shopping carts filled with junk. I wont walk past it - I have called 311 to complain - to no avail.

I think one of our local papers should put in a photo of this crap - maybe then it will be cleaned up for good.

Yeah but then we wouldn't be nice to the poor homeless people who live in the park and defecate, drink and generally scare little old ladies and women with children. Too bad the rat traps around the park weren't designed to catch these bums!!!

Do what groups of good old boys do do in places like Dix Hills and Southold when this vermin set up shop.

The cops will move them out of town fast if they have to protect them.
It works BACKWARDS !

Not a one sounds like a Christian, bet none go to Mass and if you do take a hard look at your conscience. These people are still human beings. God help us all. Human decency and respect surpasses all political agendas and personal grievances. Fed up with the system is one thing, fed up with mankind is another. Where was everyone's big mouth 30 years ago when the problem was known to exist. Probably making your dollar on their backs whether you knew it or not. You are all guilty, now go to the bathroom and look in the mirror, especially when 1 of your children falls in love with one of them and asks for your support. Bet my salary you would change your tune.

Queens Crapper said...

When one of our children falls in love and asks for our support to marry an illegal sleeping in the woods? Are you serious? Because that was pretty funny.

A person who may be working somewhere, meets a co worker, dates them, falls in love and hides the fact of where he lives.I am not saying our children walk around in the woods looking for dates but these people interact in all parts of life, working, going to the store, evening places to meet bars and clubs...Think it can't happen, well it has to someone I know...And my question was more about the humanity of the comments. This was just an example of how they are indeed human beings, and everyone of us should take a look at that..You never know how they may affect your life and my point about children is just to bring to light the fact that they would be treated more kindly or fairly if involved in your family directly. Nothing is funny when it talks about human humiliation and lack of decency..I mean some posters actually seem to indicate staking them out and taking up arms for God's sakes.

I've read a lot of extremely unfortunate comments here on this board and felt very sad to know that fellow human beings are suffering in our area and some people either just don't care or, worse, yet, they view these poor souls as "vermin" or "savages".

My ancestors several generations back fled Ireland during the great potato famine of the mid-1800's; similar to today, these poor souls suffered and were sometimes very unwelcome here in a country known for welcoming immigrants. These Irish farmers sought only to better themselves and to find a better life for their families, but faced Americans who judged them by the cartoon stereotypes of drunken, brawling Irishmen published in newspapers of the day. One hundred and sixty years ago, my ancestors were met by con-artists seeking to profit by filling the filthy hell-hole boarding houses in lower Manhattan at prices three or four times higher than what they had been told. These helpless Irishmen would sometimes stay on as 'boarders' until their money ran out at which time their luggage was confiscated for back-rent and they were tossed out into the streets, homeless and penniless. Today, these latin-american men are ignored, left for dead, or worse yet, relentlessly hounded by demons such as "Joe".

In the mid-1850's anti-Irish sentiment was becoming fashionable as the US-born population feared being undercut by hungry Irish willing to work for less than the going rate. This resentment, combined with growing anti-Irish and anti-Catholic sentiment among all classes in Boston led to 'No Irish Need Apply' signs being posted in shop windows, factory gates and workshop doors throughout the city. Fast-forward to 2010, it appears that anti-latino attitudes seem to have gained similar popularity as shown by the comments above and by the "Beaner jumping" that I've seen on the news as being a popular pass-time by drunken, blue-collar men in their teens or early twenties on LI.

It isn't difficult to infer the socio-economic strata of these soulless devils making such heartless comments; however, notwithstanding any lack of educational accomplishment or overall poor economic standing, I suggest each of these hapless fools to reflect on what they've written and ask whether they would be proud to show such statements to their children or grandchildren twenty years from now.

Show some compassion and remember what is inscribed inside the Statue of Liberty: "Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"

I realize it is easy for me to write these things sitting in my warm, Fifth Avenue condo typing away on my state of the art computer in between pondering the comfortable Wall Street bonus I'll be receiving next month -- but I beg of you: please show some mercy to your fellow man. Treat others the way you would like to be treated of you were in their shoes.

Queens Crapper said...

That's nice, however your ancestors did not break any laws to come here. Every generation of immigrants has met with some degree of prejudice. However, these are not immigrants. These are illegal aliens. They are not supposed to be here and their very existence here is a potential threat to mine. Limousine liberalism is feel-good gobbeldy-gook not welcome in the age of terror.

I live in a beautiful house with my family, 1 mile from the site. Also less than a mile the recent shootings in Hunt. Station. Our ultra-liberal Town actually put in a day-laborers site. I haven't seen any INS people there. These people have destroyed my town, my school system and our reputation as a nice place to live. How do we get them out?
