The term limits plot thickens...

From the Daily News:

A well-informed source called in to say that three Council members - David Yassky, Alan Gerson and Gale Brewer - are poised to introduce an amendment to the mayor's term limits bill that could throw a sizable wrench into the works of tomorrow's vote.

As I understand it, the amendment would change the last paragraph of the bill, which requires that it would take effect immediately, to require that the measure NOT take effect unless and until it is affirmed by a public referendum.

The amendment would also create a special election charter commission that would be tasked with setting up the referendum before the 2009 election.

And we're up to 23 opposed to the mayor's bill as of today.

So Bloomie needs 8 of the 10 that are still 'undecided'? Or will some of these guys change their mind at the last minute?

On the off chance that Bloomberg can't make this happen, I'm going to be laughing, a lot.

Bloomberg is trying to run the city like a business, flushing its life’s blood and heritage straight down the toilet for the profet of his friends

This rogue mob of Pirates (and that what they are PIRATES) need to ALL be thrown out ASAP

is there any doubt that a referendum on a three term limit change would pass 9 to 1??

Hey joe. glad to see you've added antisemitism to your list of hates./

For the record, all "jews" dont vote the same. They think and vote for themselves, just like other people.
