Father and son wait to evict 5 Pointz

A 200,000-square-foot former factory complex, now known as 5 Pointz, is a regular stop for top-flight graffiti artists from around the world. Owner Jerry Wolkoff and his son, David, ultimately want to develop the buildings.

Graffiti now, condos later in LIC

They may want to develop it, but who would want to live there?

" ... known as 5 Pointz, is a regular stop for top-flight graffiti artists from around the world."

What are "top-flight graffiti srtists"?

Graffiti is an ugly, illiterate form of vandalism.

The vandalism is done after dark, without permission, and, upon completion, the vandals flee the scene, only to return surreptitiously.

The opposite of "artists".

No doubt about the negative impact 5 Pointz has had on the rampant graffiti problem in Queens and throughout the city. This place is a breeding ground for criminals that cause millions of $ in property damage...
It's about time it is wiped clean.

Good, this is the kind of development, if done well, that could be good for a community. It's an eyesore at the moment. If they'd put something useful (as in, not an overpriced luxury condo) there, it would be a nice improvement.

Development, IF done well ... (hahahahahehehehehehohohoho)

... IF they would put in something useuful (look, their only interest is to make money - if this means a jail and they could get away with it would go up)

Get real and stop living in a fantasy.

did you know that 5 Pointz is warehouse that was converted into artists studios, and that the owner allows anyone to tag the building as long as they have permission. One wall, a story high, there's a mural with a line of Brownstones on a quiet street, but with trees growing out the windows breaking through the doors and window. On the roof a long line of comical light bulb faces. On another side a sword wielding warrior babe straight from a D&D wet dream. Spiderman, Monet, the 7 train, dragons, shy girls, DJs, babies, spray nozzles, guns; all make an appearance all the walls. People are always adding new work too, so the walls always shift and change in appearance over time. it's featured in all the NYC arts tours and NYC tour attraction.

These anti art numb nuts who are knocking "5 Pointz" really don't know their dicks from a doorknob
or their tits from their toes....
whatever!

This is a world class, internationally recognized
aerosol art outdoor museum!

The breeding ground for graffiti
vandals is in your own home
NOT AT "5 POINTZ"!

If some of you parents would pay more attention to raising your kids instead of just popping them out,
they wouldn't become anti social brats with disciplinary problems!

Having kids requires, having money, time, love and responsible parents.

Kids aren't just pleasure products!

It takes (maybe) 15 minutes to make one and the rest of your life to raise one!

There are plenty of WHITE
MIDDLE CLASS (TALENTLESS)
GAFFITI VANDALS in my northeastern Queens neighborhood.

So don't go saying it's a ghetto thing either!

Art is art. Marking your turf like a dog with a tag is graffiti.

TAKE YOUR HEADS OUT OF YOUR
DUFFLE BAGS AND LEARN TO RECOGNIZE THE DIFFERENCE!

Stupid is as stupid sees!

It sure sounds like Don "junior" Vallone has got his minions posting
his favorite brand of cow crap here!

Wattsa matta with you Pietro...
running out of time for real things to do for your constituents?

You never seem to be short on hours to help out your developer pals!

It's all the current
and rampant over development that's had a negative impact on LIC !

Hell.....
the New York City Council breeds
far more crooks than the reputable
art institution "5 Pointz"....
can be incorrectly accused of breeding graffiti vandals
(eh... Speaker Quinn...
queen of the slush fund scandal)!

That commercial slumlord has been thinking of "developing" that site for at least a decade.

He's in no hurry because he pays lower taxes on all of the numerous
undeveloped industrial properties that he owns.

A new building means a tax hike assessment and he's as cheap as they come.
