South Ozone Park illegally parked trucks; it's happening again...

In 2017 and 2018 I wrote into queens crapper about the illegally parked tractor trailers parking in south ozone park on south conduit aves between 125th streets to 127th streets we are now heading into the year 2020 and as you can see the 106 pct is still doing nothing about the illegally parked tractor trailers obstructing drivers views of traffic on south conduit and tractor trailers parking next to residential homes.

Happy new year. Here is to another year of dealing with this garbage in south ozone park.

Crappy I think there are more imperative stories we can be reading here on QC !
Litter, Bike Lanes and illegal parking are not pressing.
Letting hard core criminals out on the streets without bail getting free Metro Cards, $50 debit cards and a burner phone would be more prescribing don't you think ?

New York Post

"A Brooklyn miscreant accused of slapping three Orthodox Jewish women last week struck again on Sunday and was busted for assaulting another woman.

A day after she was released without bail on charges stemming from the Friday attack, Tiffany Harris was charged with assault for slugging a 35-year-old in the face on Eastern Parkway near Underhill Avenue in Prospect Heights at about 9:15 a.m., according to police."

Wow, what an outrage...I mean, homelessness pales in comparison to the menace of illegally parked trucks

Well, they like the Ozone, it's a natural disinfectant because the ions make bacterial cell walls more permeable just like all nanoparticles do.

The truckers have noplace to lay up awaiting access call to the air freight terminals. This thanks to the Governor f_cking up JFK airport.
The cops know this, place yourself in the truckers shoes and stop re-electing assholes wanting to run every private home neighborhood out of town.

The democrats pulled this same "new improved change" bullshit out in Los Angeles with LAX airport, got rid of the layup lots and made them private paid taxi & limo or public transportation use only.
---Keep voting Democrat New York, good job.

Parking of trailers
No person shall park any trailer or semi-trailer on any street or arterial highway, except while loading or unloading at off-street platforms, unless such trailer or semi-trailer is attached to a motor vehicle capable of towing it. Notwithstanding these provisions, where posted signs permit, a trailer or semi-trailer may park while unattached to a motor vehicle capable of towing it on streets in industrial zoned property as defined in the Zoning Resolution . Such trailers or semi-trailers may park for the length of time indicated on the posted signs. An owner of a trailer or semi-trailer parked pursuant to this provision shall protect the streets from damage that may be caused by parking the unattached trailer. All doors located on such trailers or semi-trailers must be locked while the trailers are parked.

Nice to see the law being respected and enforced.

Per the NYC Truck Parking Rules (https://www1.nyc.gov/html/dot/html/motorist/parktruck.shtml) it seems that since there isn't any restrictive (No Parking, Standing, Stopping) sign on that stretch of road, trucks are permitted to park for up to 3 hours during daytime hours.

If a truck is parked over the time limit, specifically mention that on your next 311 complaint. Also mention the specific section of the Parking Rules and copy and paste the relevant text into the 311 complaint details.

If the police keep closing the complaints as "unnecessary" after all that, start filing complaints with the CCRB or write to the CO of the 106 or Commissioner Shea.

Also contact the DOT to request some kind of parking restriction in that location.

Do tell. So where is all that good tax money going? After all we have a socialist/communist leadership here in NYC and NYS. They hate Trump with a passion now that he is President.

But....but De Blasio pleads to Trump for help with homeless crisis....

https://nypost.com/2019/12/29/de-blasio-pleads-to-trump-for-help-with-homeless-crisis/

What a joke these people are and their mindless activist supporters.

They are all pressing. There is a pattern of blatant corruption, ignoring the voters and pretty much doing what the fuck they want - just like in some Banana Republic.
Anything illegal, well is illegal. Bike lanes? My fucking tax money. Criminals with "good luck" packages? My fucking tax money. Litter? I don't want to live like a fucking pig.
So where is the problem? One issue is more important than the other?

@warp10

Read the trailer section. Totally illegal.

Yes I feel for the truckers, but creating this super dangerous situation is not the solution.
They are an industry, they have owners, they have big corporations behind them.
Needs to be dealt with properly, not like this.
Wouldn't you agree?

Just keep at it! The police need to do their job and write tickets.. good idea about adding the violation code for the lazies that don’t want to look it up. Cargo vans and all these trucks need to be banned off residential streets. If you are doing business from them no reason to be taking up parking overnight or otherwise the street parking are for passenger vehicles. These cargo vans are not even following the law with alterations but have passenger license plates just because the lazy DMV trusts they will be honest.

It is happening in all neighborhoods. It is terrible how our towns are being overrun by these semis and no one does anything about it. We can thank the politicians for allowing all of this. Best thing to do is get rid of them and find a new politicians that may address these issues. New York City is a cesspool that needs to be cleaned up and we should start with these leaders who think they are helping out our town. I reality they don't live in our neighborhoods so they don't care.

Yes you are correct I call them Lakefront Liberals !

To the guy who said it’s drivers who are resting at a near by hotel no it’s not. Know what you are talking about before you speak.. it’s drivers who park there cars then hop in the truck for the day then come back here when the day is done and leave in there car.. and leave the trailer next blocking a lane on the conduit then the trailers sit all weekend

Keep electing democrats and you'll just get more of the same, and more of the same. But talking to liberals is a waste of time. Please, when you decide you've had enough and want to bail out, don't move West!

@Anonymous 10

I think the trailer parking section refers to disconnected trailer parking, not full truck (tractor-trailer) parking as is shown in the photos.
