Paterson gives lawmakers deadline for Aqueduct pick

From the Daily News:

Gov. Paterson is giving legislative leaders a week to decide who should operate long-delayed video gambling at Aqueduct Racetrack - or he'll make the choice.

"What I am probably going to do in the next week or so is pick one myself and try to publicly persuade them to embrace this decision," Paterson said Friday before hosting a New Year's open house at the Governor's Mansion.

Paterson and the leaders of the Assembly and Senate must agree on an operator for the facility but have been deadlocked for months over which of the five remaining bidders should redevelop the Queens racetrack.

Read this again for the clues to why these louts in the senate and assembly laugh at Paterson.

"probably", "try" "in the next week or so", "publicly persuade" "to embrace".

Paterson is a weak, indecisive fool.

To vote him back to the office would just show that we are weak, indecisive morons.

So he's going to pick one himself. Maybe better he should listen to the other two. At least they have talked to the locals, he hasn't.

Patterson picked real losers last year, why should anyone think he's going to do any better now. And why should anyone agree with his pick, his track record sucks when it comes to his picks on anything.

His week is up, so who'd he pick? No one.
