Suspect sought in home invasion

From Fox 5:

The NYPD has released a photo of a suspect in a violent home-invasion robbery that happened in Long Island City, Queens, in early July.

Five men walked into an apartment at 40-19 29th Street just before 7:30 a.m. on July 6, threatened the resident with a gun and demanded to know "where was the safe," police said.

One of the robbers then beat the resident on the head with a baseball bat. The thugs then tied up the victim with zip-ties and ransacked the apartment, authorities said.

They stole money, mobile phones, and a stash of precious metals.

Emergency crews took the victim to the hospital where he was treated and released.

The NYPD is asking anyone with information about the crime and/or who may recognize the suspect in the security camera photo to call the Crime Stoppers hot line at (800) 577-TIPS (8477).
