Middle Village developer goes "green"

Interesting choice of color for this one. Located at 74-06 58th Avenue in Middle Village, this supposed 3-family home has been shut down 3 times, the most recent being 9/25/09 for constructing a garage without a permit. Despite ECB violation #34782490M being served that day, current records show no open ECB violations. Previous stop work orders were issued for work not according to approved plans back on 3/3/09 and in 2008 for other miscellaneous violations.

Here's what was there before: a 1-family home with a lovely garden.

You're right that it's against the law. But I'd much rather see new construction like this than everything else that's been popping up lately... I actually think it's pretty interesting looking.

I live near it, it stick out and is ugly. The have clearly undocumented workers working without safety equipment and illegally hold spots around it with threats to tow cars. NYPD already warned them twice about the harassment

This was such a nice little house beforehand and a great corner location and lot, which I guess is why they built that monsterous house.
