The end of Amish Market

From the Times Ledger:

Despite prior denials from the store’s manager, Amish Market has closed its doors at the Shops at Atlas Park, resolving what the mall’s court-appointed receiver said was an issue of unpaid rent.

“We reached an agreement for them to depart,” said attorney Paul Millus, who was appointed to run the mall until it is sold under foreclosure proceedings next year. “Part of the agreement was they pay some of the money toward some of their arrears and they were gone.”

Amish Market manager Sean Bren previously said published reports of legal action against the store drove customers away and prompted many people to demand refunds on gift cards they had purchased.

Bren was not available for comment by Tuesday evening. An employee who answered the phone there Tuesday said the store was closed for good.

Same old, same old. More unsolicited attacks on hispanics.

The good news: AS you get older and hispnaics dominate even more you will go to bed at night scared and realize how pathetic you are

BACK ON TOPIC: Good riddance Amish Market, Any chance a diner opens there?

I heard Old Navy was scouting the location

Maybe we will be scared that you may run this nation similar to every other latino nation in the world.

Think about it.

1.No, that store is an attack on hispanics. Just because you are working class doesn't mean you have to shop in a shithole.

Remember Lamstons, Woolworth, Kreskies?

2. A just because you are hispanic doesnt give you a free pass to do anything.

Spain is run very well, Brazil has a better economy than the US at this point too. Argebtina is not far behind the US either

And Spain, Brazil and Argentina are not 3rd world countries that people are fleeing from to come here. They are not shopping at El Mundo Discount.

Atlas Park should put WalMart there. What a great anchor store. It's big enough, has parking and that mall would be busy. We need a Walmart in Queens and this would be the ideal place. Anyone listening?

Spain - 22% unemplotment

Brazil - Ridiculous crime, out of control HIV and the wealth that is finally beginning to be accumulated is due to oil and only spread amongst the affluent class.

Argentina - Literally Bankrupt.

They are not even comparable to the US.

No. No one is listening.

Walmart? Are you kidding me? Do you want to see all small business in the area close? Walmart is the worst and last thing Queens needs. Walmart had one of the worst pay scales in retail. Is that what you really want?

Try looking into the 3/50 project.

It was a nice food store. Sure it's a little pricey but the offerings were things you don't normally find in a Stop & Shop or C-Town.

What undermined Amish Market was not enough stores on the market plaza to draw people in, parking fees and Trader Joe's doing gangbuster business not too far away.
