Cab goes out-of-control in Jackson Heights

MYFOXNY.COM - 13 people were hurt when an out-of-control livery cab plowed through people at the Ecuadorian Heritage Festival in Jackson Heights, Queens on Sunday.

The driver went into several food booths in front of a Rite Aid at Junction Boulevard and 37th Avenue.

It happened just after 1 p.m.

The injured were taken to Elmhurst and New York Hospital-Queens. All of the injuries appeared to be minor.

The driver of the Lincoln Town Car remained at the scene. Witnesses told the New York Post that the driver was taken away from the scene by police.

Colorful, vibrant, bustling and very sad.

Did the NYPD administer a breathilizer test to the driver?

A lot of these guys are an uncontrolled menace.

They hover around near bus stops while idling and spewing pollution all over the place around Main & Roosevelt in Flushing.

This is irrelevant to the accident. these types of accidents happen in boring towns like Boise, Idaho also.
