What the "L"?
How about dyslexia street?
Take a good look around Queens, and you will see many faded street name signs, much to the point where their illegible.Some time ago, when they converted to green, they painted over the old ones, if you look close enough, you can see the former sign nmae.
There's one at Jackson Avenue and Pearson Street, near Courthouse Square in LIC, on which the white letters are peeling off the green background.
Should we call 311 or the Gracie Mansion bat-phone? Oh, that's right. Mr. Dollar-a-Year-Salary doesn't live there. Reach him on his Blackberry.

"Nmae" = "mnae"?
You may not want to blame the DOT since the installation of Street Name signs has been contracted out to a company from NJ.
