Toxic substance found in Little Neck

From Fox 5:

Someone left a dangerous substance on the streets in Little Neck, Queens, and it may cost a dog his leg -- or even life. The toxic substance that turned up in the neighborhood posed a clear threat to residents and their pets.

They also could have added enough baking powder to neutralize the acid before they put it out. Acid is a lot easier to render safe than some things people work with.

'They' the new owners of that house were trying to kill the tree in front of the house. Bad Feng shui, that tree. It is in the way.

The house shown in the report, 246-16 Alameda Ave, is slated for demolition. The tree would be in the way of the equipment...

Substance was sulfuric acid...found out from DEP. After investigating it seems this is used by builders to kill trees. News has it the dog died. What a shame!
