Bloomberg's Memorial Day campaign commercial
"Happy Memorial Day" is not an appropriate sentiment, Mr. Mayor. This is supposed to be a solemn, reflective holiday. And who gave the authorization to distribute your campaign posters to people along the parade route? How incredibly tasteless.
CBS 2 noticed as well:
Mayor Michael Bloomberg and his would-be Democratic rival, Comptroller Bill Thompson, marched together but separated by a few other politicians.
But Bloomberg was the only one to overtly campaign. Aides gave out American flags with Bloomberg decals and the mayor left the parade march to schmooze with voters.

F_ing scumbag had his own press people and cops in regular clothes wave badges & push us around. Came right at us out like bulls "SECURIETY DETAL STEP BACK" pushing our lenses.
They went straight for the pro Digital SLRs.
They must have saw the post here.
I'd just like to know how I can get off his campaign mailing list. EVERY WEEK I get junk mail. Is this really starting now? Until November? Not very green of him.
This happened in Little Neck across from the Scobee by the newest stretch of plywood & knock down.
"Merry Memorial Day"
I am surprised that fuck head can even find Queens. What ever happened to term limits.
I have to agree with Crappy. Very tasteless. All it makes me think by the way he's campaigning hard this early is that he is WORRIED about the election.
BLOOMCRUD, GO AWAY! WE DON'T LIKE YOU.
I'd just like to know how I can get off his campaign mailing list.

---Good luck
If you use Con Ed, Dailey News, Newsday, Citibank Cablevision, Time Warner, or any Murdoch rag forget it your forever at the top of the hit list.
--Its called curruption. ------and since they are not selling you anything its not considered marketing.
I saw enough of these P.O.S evil proudly marching (with American Flags) past all the plywood construction fences, ruens, crapatecture & Chinese lettering in Little Neck.
It was enough to make you sick. I cant wait to get back to Southold.
---No Democrats or tweed familys in Southold.

I saw bloomass in whitestone parade today and no one appaulded him, lmao....... thank god the good people of whitestone knows this mans bullshit :)... he was a no show here in Maspeth because he knew better!! God Bless America...
Linda: he hasn't been in the Maspeth parade for years. In fact, I don't know if he ever marched in it.
Digusting! NO campaigning is the rule at parades. Whoever sponsored the parade should answer for this! Italian Girl is correct. He is runing--running scared.
where is his buddy, ogni-has-been
ogni-has-been needs to give it up. He materializes out of thin air threatening to sue the city. However, he has a "good relationship" with the mayor. All lies.
Ogni-has-been needs to quite and stop embarassing himself.
I guess Liz's people will no longer will be using "Phony Tony Como." They will now be using "ogni-has-been."
Thanks for straightening that out.
Because it is always about him, his fucking fag who goes to the bahamas to get it on with boys is a fucking douchebag who dishonors our Veterans. Fuck Bloomberg, fuck him hard in the ass like he likes it.
This turd ruened my day. He had his own army pushing people out the way and setting up video and photo ops.
Most of "those with the 4+ kids" in those media ops werent even born here. Their ancestors didnt do squat for this country.
Q:
Since when does a Jewish guy pose with cheesburgers and cheap by-product hotdogs (pork) ?

This is on right now and the parallels between Mr. Burns' campaign and Bloomberg's are striking.
I think he goes to Bermuda, not the Bahamas.
Heidi Chain and Lynn Schulman also disrespected vets by campaigning on this special day.
This is exactly why I didn't go to the parade this year. To all Queens candidates (except Tony Avella) forget about asking me for my endorsement.
Guess Bloombucks missed the part of the Flag Code that says it should not be used for advertising purposes. It sure as hell should not be used for political propaganda purposes. The co-opting of my flag by repubnacants is one big reason I haven't voted for one in recent years. This year will be no different. I won't vote for Mr. I'm Not Sure I'm a Repub but I'll Buy 'em anyway Bloomy.
# The flag should never be used for any advertising purpose. It should not be embroidered, printed or otherwise impressed on such articles as cushions, handkerchiefs, napkins, boxes, or anything intended to be discarded after temporary use. Advertising signs should not be attached to the staff or halyard.
# The flag should never have any mark, insignia, letter, word, number, figure, or drawing of any kind placed on it, or attached to it.

I am not sure about the campaigning at parades thing though...
I am glad that he reminded me that my father fought the Nazis, so I can remember to fight all Facists, including Bloomberg.
Too bad that we make a joke out of a holiday originated to show respect for the men who fought in the blood-drenched soils of Antietam, Vicksburg and Gettysburg.
May we use the greatest care before we beat the drums of war. May our soldier always fight only the good fight and may they come home in one piece.
"May our soldier always fight only the good fight and may they come home in one piece."
Amen. And in one peace as well!
I agree with Faster 340 ,,....100%. The flag is over used on everything. It's a shame. It's used on underwear,(true).,bandannas, etc.... It's also used in advertising . From major companies to small businesses to sell everything from cars to flowers and other crap. Even various local civic groups use it wrongly.
As for using it to campaign, I believe it should never be used in campaign flyers and mailers. In parade on former military and active members of the military and veterans groups should hold and wave the flag. The Politicians look silly waving the flag back and fourth and most are not vet's anyway.
Basically, don't abuse the image and meaning of the flag. No matter who you are or what business you are.
I know people and businesses will continue to do so as well as Pol's, it's sad sad sad.
Pretty soon you see a car wash shammy with the american flag on it..... you'll see. Anything for a buck.
Say hello to Elvis
Enjoy the day.

Campaigning on the graves of our country's fallen is beyond shameful!
It's far above the usual measure of Bloomberg's self absorbed arrogance he so often displays!
This aloof tyrant has outdone himself this time!
Make sure this lying lout doesn't get a 3rd term!
Bloomberg is killing more trees with his abundant campaign litter-ature.
I guess that's his "green" policy...
arboricide!
