Swine flu victim in critical condition

From the NY Times:

A patient with a confirmed case of swine flu was in critical but stable condition on Friday at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center in Manhattan, a spokesman for the hospital said.

The spokesman, Jim Mandler, declined to reveal the identity, age or sex of the patient, who is being treated at the St. Luke’s campus in Morningside Heights, but he said that doctors were optimistic that the patient’s condition was improving.

That patient is one of 57 people who have been hospitalized with flu symptoms since the outbreak began in New York City in April, health department officials said.

If it's a little kid, everyone is going to flip out and blame Bloomcrud even more for not closing the schools.

Blumturd is getting quite the record:

1. shutting down city functions as cops, firemen, hospitals, sanitation (outside of Manhattan)

2. as development (further overwhelming the infrastructure to the breaking point) is given the fast track,

3. mismanaging the city government (some fanincial mavin - plenty people saw this coming a year or more ago)

4. now dropping the ball on the Blumturd Flu.

I think pols has him 30% ahead of his nearest challenger.
