From the "No shit, Sherlock" file

Reality is starting to sink in at LIQCity...lots of condos and not enough schools will make this a temporary community.

...our little friends in LIC are certainly growing in number. Well at some point, the tater tots are going to have to go to school…and coincidentally, here’s some bad news about the NYC Public School System:

“In a 114-page report to be issued on Friday, William C. Thompson Jr., the city comptroller, derided the school system’s capital planning process as “broken,” concluding, “There are far too many neighborhoods with overcrowded schools and no hope of relief for at least several more years.”

The attitude of one commenter sums it up well: "schools are boring. the only thing i care about in this neighborhood is where i can get a good meal and a glass of wine."

Surpirse! surprise! surprise!

Tip to the hipster youngsters, when you buy property in a new community, don't look so much at the glossy real estate promo.

And for God's sake don't listen to a politican!

Ask an old timer.

These "yupsters" may be swift on speculating in futures but
when it comes to their own they're total dunces!

Duh...you're supposed to
check out things like taxes, transportation, proximity to shopping and OH YES SCHOOLS!

But they're transients anyway and
probably don't plan on putting down any substantial roots!

Caution:

That is the problem with people, immigrant or hipster, that is moving into Queens.

They have no vested interest in the community. It is mearly a waystation on the path of life.

The only thing permanent is the machine. The machinery of the community has been hijacked by them.
