Flushing castle

I stumbled upon this lovely house in Flushing last Monday.
It has some interesting details, including little turrets and stained glass in the windows.
Check out the lawn decoration! (click photos to enlarge)

Very important note... this home is in Flushing, on the border of Whitestone and Bayside. Not really anywhere close to Fresh Meadows. It is a great house though... I grew up 2 doors down. They have a full suit of armor standing in their front parlor. No joke.

Sorry about the misleading info about the location. I'll fix the title.

neat castle. I like the little, 2nd floor, corner turrets.

I too enjoy the scenery of North Flushing.

I have had the opportunity to go in this house on many occasions, and the interior and exterior detals are more than one can absorb in a week or even a month. Each time one looks at it you will notice something you have never seen before. Anyone notice the carved monks under the second fllor eaves? Or the coats of arms between the beams? Thee's a huge stone tower onthe left of the house added in the mid '90's, and a stone cottage in the rear yard with a simulated thatched roof. Even the leaderheads are stamped castles leading down copper gutters. The owner has been adding and embellishing this house for over 60 years- and it has truly become the crown jewel of North Flushing featured in many magazines and even sketched by the art class of Holy Cross High School. By the way... there is no armor suit in the rotunda or anywhere else....
