Petition against Vernon Blvd Parking Loss
Please be advised that Residents of Long Island City have begun signing a petition in protest of the recent DOT proposal for the Vernon Boulevard Queens East River Greenway.
The proposed plan includes eliminating parking along the West side of Vernon Boulevard, to make way for planning for the Queens East River Greenway, which is part of a city-wide initiative for Bike Paths throughout the NYC area.
Of note: The Petition is not against the Bike Path plan, it is against the loss of Parking included in the plan.
