The eagles have landed

From the Queens Chronicle:

Two adult and two immature bald eagles have been spotted flying around Queens for some time now, according to Jeff Kollbrunner, a photographer from Briarwood.

“I’ve seen the four of them since September and some eagles as far back as six years,” Kollbrunner said.

I saw two of these birds of prey along twentieth avenue in College Point hard by the old Flushing airport. They were feasting on a dead raccoon.

I initially thought them to be hawks but upon further observation saw that they were eagles.

Great stuff!

I have spotted hawks a number of times in Flushing.

Those were not Eagles, but rather vultures.

They'd better not go near the airports, or they'll be exterminated.
