DeBlasio drops in on wake at the last minute

From the Daily News:

Mayor de Blasio made an 11th-hour call at the viewing for Officer Rafael Ramos after hours of uncertainty over whether he would attend.

The mayor spent Christmas Day and most of Friday in Connecticut with relatives. His public schedule stating he would come to the viewing wasn’t published until 9 p.m., a couple of minutes before he arrived at the Queens church where well-wishers — including many politicians — had streamed in since 2 p.m.

Donations pour in to Daily News fund to help slain cops' families — FIND OUT HOW TO CONTRIBUTE

He stayed for about 10 minutes.

City Hall aides didn’t explain the mystery surrounding the mayor’s schedule.

No mystery. He's scared shitless.

This bastard comes late to everything that is not important to him.

I'm telling you, he would absolutely not be welcome if that were my husband. I would turn my back on him. DeBlasio was told before the murders to stay away from funerals, many cops signed stating they wanted him to stay away. DeBlasio needs to stop ignoring the wishes of the NYPD and stay the eff away.

These flareups occur with nearly every Mayor. It always "just coincidentally" occurs when the cop's labor contract is up.

The cops are using these situations for their own ends just as the protesters are using the death of Garner.

And, why the hell should our Mayor be 'scared shitless" of the police union?

They are Civil Service employees, just as firemen, sanitation and teachers.

He's scared for his political career and of being embarrassed, not of the cops.

Their contract was up in 2010.

They're in the midst of contract negotiations now: http://www.capitalnewyork.com/article/city-hall/2014/12/8559215/bill-de-blasio-and-making-police-union-nemesis

the blaz(aka mayor big slow, two names I coined here)like most electeds,is more concerned about image, agenda and legacy, and he obviously feels responsible for the murder of those innocent cops, even though he shouldn't be.but he is too much of a coward to confront the nypd who work for him and loudmouth lynch.who if you think about it,made a self-fulfilling prophecy by his outrageous proposition if cops die on duty after the blaz's preposterous comment that his son will be attacked by the cops sworn to protect him.It definitely doesn't make him responsible either.
the only one responsible is the shooter, his messed up mind and his own beliefs and solutions for it.if anything, this senseless act is like the oklahoma city bombing, the columbine massacre and the hundreds that followed it.just smaller in scale

but again, the mayor is doing worse than media hogs like sharpton, giuliani, lynch and the justice league(oh christ, what a name)protesters dividing the public by pulling this crap, slinking in late to avoid dirty looks from cops. And the nypd is no better blowing off the mayor.

the outlook of this city has made a big 180 in just a week, our mayor has a lot of time to fix this to make people believe in him again, especially the cops.Maybe he should make an elaborate apology speech at city hall or police plaza.

anything to get some cohesion, because all of them continue like this, the wolves are going to come out in full force in 2015.

Yep. Another bit of deliberately unfinished business left by Bloombag.

So-far, DiBlassio has managed to negotiate the others without giving away the city.

The cops are just trying to soften him up for a new agreement.

The Blaz to his son Dante,
Well son there are 2 cops you never have to fear.

I came back from the funeral. Giuliani was standing right next to Biden as the coffin was carried to the hearse. Giuliani gearing up for a repeat mayoral run? Bloomberg and Dinkins were MIA.

PS James and Stringer in attendance. Viverito not to be seen.

Hmmm, she said she'd go if invited.

We are in the last vestiges of political correctness in america

We have to decide if MLK day should be eliminated.. Does content of character matter anymore or does it?

If it does then Di Bozio must stand up against the thugs and make sure racial hate crimes apply to black people too.

Tough challenge for the puzzywhipped mayor.

I dunno...is our seemingly always red faced mayor a secret drunk? It could explain why it is hard for him to wake up each morning. Been on a bender Wilhelm?

What political career? Di Blasé is a one term mayor. He's already stepped on his own dick enough itmes to guarantee his political sterility.

he surely must be a secret closet drunk what a disgrace for sure --

While Comrade de Blasio spoke cops turned their backs on his visage on the Jumbotron screen.

some cop held up a placard to his face.add this to the flying banner and the back turning.

so much for a time to ease protests and strife.Lynch is encouraging dereliction and has to calm down a bit.He was practically beaming when he was approached by some correspondents even though he wouldn't own up to them.you think he's trying to start a revolution in the NYPD

Who ever did believe in him? So few voters turned out for the mayoral election, you'd be hard pressed to find someone that supported him. Yet, he somehow won. Much like Bloomberg. You could never find someone that admitted voting for him, either.

The NYPD has gotten some really bad contract offers this round. 3x1's and no retro? Three zeros. These guys have been without a contract for almost 5 years, and you insult them by offering less than a cost of living raise? With caps on overtime, and no events that drained the overtime coffers in the last few years, that's a sorry excuse of an offer. Cops can hardly afford to support their families in Deblasio's Paradise.

The takers out number the makers in NY, deblasio will win a second term, sad.

Anonymous said...

Not a drunk, ask the cops around Gracie Mansion what that smoke smells like.......

Anonymous said...

Der Mayor might be attending his own political wake . No second term for him. The ignorant fool must be taking advice from his wife on how to gain friends and influence voters. Dante, please convince daddy to resign.

Anonymous said...

LMAO, why would Dante want Daddy to resign? Dante's people are getting their chance to shine with Wilhelm in office.

Anonymous said...

Dante's people are exiting NYC in droves. Even for middle class Whites the city is getting too damned expensive. Check your stats fella. Blacks are moving out. Hipsters are moving into areas of Brooklyn that the United States Cavaly would have found hostile. i.e. Crown Heights.

Anonymous said...

Blacks are moving where if they're being forced out?

Down south.
