Two teens shot in Cambria Heights

QUEENS (WABC) -- A fight among students escalated into gunfire that left two people wounded.

The shooting happened just after 3:00 p.m.at Linden and Springfield Boulevards.

Police said a group of teens from a nearby high school had gathered there. A fight broke out, and at some point one of them pulled out a gun. At least three shots were fired, according to witnesses. One of the victims, a 13-year-old, was shot in the head. He was listed in critical condition at LI Jewish Hospital.

The second teen was an innocent bystander. A 17-year-old working at the Cambria Car Wash and Detail Center suffered a gunshot wound to his thigh. He was listed in stable condition.

Police were still trying to determine if the younger victim was a bystander or a target.

I was expecting George the Atheist to post his link to the NRA. Oh, I forgot: gun ownership is only a great American right and virtue when it's white people who own the guns.

Cambria heights and any part of jamaica is known for fights and violence a long time ago but i guess its coming back! smh

No that's why we have anti-gun laws. Because we are afraid of black people owning them.

Doubt the gun was legal. Our crazy gun laws failed to prevent this incident.

It's the CULTURE that certain people are steeped in that is responsible for this behavior, not people owning guns legally.
