Where's the yard?

The crap found in Corona never ceases to amaze. This one is at the corner of 106th Street and 53rd Ave. There is no yard here save for the narrow concrete pen in the front. I can just imagine how many people are crammed into this pile of Queens Crap.

I don't know what the zoning is on that street, but don't people question when a building looks out-of-scale?

hello it's corona and where else are all the illegals going to live. everyone wonders why dist. 24 is overcrowded and always crying they need another school. I blame the city for allowing this to go up! where's the council board member in that neighborhood? did you notice the art work on the building?

I blame Queens Civic Congress and preservationists who know better - like Pratt and HDC - and who say nothing and do less.

If information never gets to people, they never have an opportunity to fight back, or are given the resources and support to make a choice.

A community gets trashed, the stable middle class homeowner moves out, and places like Flushing, Corona, Elmhurst, and now Astoria and Woodside, becomes communities where the transient absentee landlords house desperate people who feel a ghetto is a big step up.

Your community is next. These were all good stable neighborhoods within living memory.

BTW, this community routinely votes for the clubhouse overwhelmingly.

The roots of this rot go back before Shulman and even Mannes.

30 or 40 years when the clubhouse seized on the Immigration Act to make themselves permanently in power.

YOU GOT THAT RIGHT AND MONSTERRAT IS A PRODUCT OF THIS CULTURE...AND EVERYONE KNOWS IF HE RAN AGAIN HE WOULD GET ELECTED AGAIN.

Question: What was there before? What did the property sell for?

In those answers lies the reason for this situation.

This sort of higher density construction is happening -all over- Queens and the five boroughs.

Seller of old property gets "top dollar" that only a developer will pay.

Results: As illustrated.
