Bloomberg says something stupid to parents of kindergarteners

From the Daily News:

Earlier in the day, the mayor sarcastically lashed out at waitlist complaints.

"They complained about a couple of hundred kids not being able to get into the schools that they wanted to get into," he said.

"I can tell you how to fix that: just lower the quality of the schools," he said. "Isn't it wonderful that kids want to get into schools?"

Told of the mayor's mocking, Sal Browne, a mother of two at Public School 116 in Murray Hill and toddler twins said, "That's the most absurd thing I have ever heard."

"This is not something to be shrugging off and joking about and saying this problem isn't really a problem," she said.

This turd thinks the kids are the ones that want to get into these school? They're 4 years old for Christ sakes. It's their parents - voters - who he's being nasty to.

Intelligence and education are counterproductive to Bloomturd's goals of dominance and submission!!!

All the result of overdevelopment. Don't worry. It will be happening everywhere. Let's build thousands and thousands of apartments and build no schools to keep up with the population growth.

Genius. Bloomass, you've done it again.
You suck. Just accept it.

P.S. You could use a face lift. You've been looking kinda droopy.

Overdevelopment in Manhattan? You've gotta be kidding me.

Actually, in many cases the problem is not so much overdevelopment as that the "nabe," with its existing housing stock, has suddenly gained cachet among a certain yuppie set with lotsa kids, and new schools can't be built fast enough in New York to keep up with the hype. Remember that next time you're opposing construction of a new school in, say, Maspeth. Maybe in 30 or 40 years there will be real need there.

It used to be that people moved out of the city after they had kids, for the fresh air and great suburban schools. Then that changed.

And before that it used to be that they stayed in the city after having kids because the schools were good. Somewhere along that line, something changed. There are many 3rd and 4th generation Queens residents.

blah blah blah poor manhattan people can't get their children in school. most likely a bunch of liberals whining, here in queens our problems are with illegal residence and for some reason they can't keep their legs closed. The demand for more and more schools, shit just past metro off woodhaven just past homo depo and you can see another school going up, is this the school wacko liz was talking about or another one dist. 24 had to have. STOP HAVING KIDS AND MAYBE THE DAMAND WON'T BE SO GREAT.

Hizzoner shows the world his extra-thin skin again. And he just scored a few more votes for his opponent in November. A little here, a little there. Pretty soon, he'll have a real fight on his hands. Keep it up, Bloomie. Don't let the door hit you on the way out.

Isnt it time we started to ask our city council people why they supported his power grab - while the cameras are rolling?

What fun!

GOOD RIDDANCE!

Boob-berg is losing it more and more each day...suffering from rich man's senility!

Bum-turd's money has made him lose touch with the real world.

NO MAYOR MIKE...YOU MIGHT LOVE YOURSELF...BUT NYC's VOTERS DON'T LIKE YOU VERY MUCH!

He's just pissed that he can't fire us voters who are critical of the lousy job he's done as easily as he can at Bloomberg Inc.

Tough shit and FU Mike!

That's what happens in a democracy!

Try and micro manage that Mr. Thin-skin!

More heartwarming speech from Mr. Popularity.

LINDA, with your poor grasp of proper English usage I find your opinions on schools most ironic.

Anonymous said...

That was the improper use of the word ironic. Time for you to go back to school, too.

Bloomberg's campaign called me at 11:00 this Sunday to urge me to vote for him. I told the volunteer how I was nearly buried alive by my corrupt landlord, and only assemblyman Gianris, of all the politicians, did anything for me.

He can rot in hell waiting for my vote.

Mayor Major Asshole will -- of course -- buy his way into a third term, so we'll have to put up with another four years of his holier-than-thou arrogance and contempt.
