2 more swine flu deaths

From the Daily News:

Two more New Yorkers infected with swine flu have died, health officials announced Tuesday.

It is not yet known if the H1N1 virus caused the latest two deaths - a 41-year-old woman from Queens and a 34-year-old man from Brooklyn.

The new cases bring to four the number of New Yorkers who have died after catching swine flu, said city health commissioner Thomas Frieden said.

NYC Health Dept should disclose the following for the sake of the 8 million people in New York City. This is a highly contagious disease which strike much younger people (people in their teens to age 50) than the garden-variety seasonal flu (which strike mostly aged 65 or older).

1) The Public has the right to know what "Underlying Medical Conditions" these 2 dead people had before they caught Swine Flu.

Most Americans suffer from at least one medical ailment that force them to take regular medication and/or regular medical treatment.

2) The Public also has the right to know where these 3 people had worked before they died of Swine Flu.

Co-workers and clients/customers who had close contacts and interactions with these 3 people need to take extra pre-cautions for possible infection of Swine Flu.

"underlying medical conditions" MY ASS.

So EVERYONE that has died has an underlying medical condition? What are we all stupid? Bloomscuz doesn't want to create a panic so they are lying. Don't tell me a 34 year old and a 41 year old had health issues. Highly unlikely.

I tell ya they can't create a vaccine fast enough.

Bayside Flu, Superstition & Pimpmobiles
Them boys in Bayside are the most dangerous science hating superstition-based initiatives and
backwards of all. The city should toughen inspections for medical,
psychiatric and vehicle reasons to cut down the number of congestion.
This way, we will also get the voters against congestion pricing, who
live in Bayside and Staten Island, to move away. We also need to
psychiatrically regulate the preachers and teachers who influenced
such creatures - That is what homeland security is really about.

Why Mexico and Queens???????

Close the borders.........

Anonymous said...

Unfortunately, this is the 21st century, not the 19th. Sealing the border hermetically is not possible, nor desirable.

Mexico, along with Canada, is a major trading partner of the United States. The best we can hope for is quick identification and treatment, followed by development of an effective vaccine.

Sealing the border may not be possible but certainly desirable.

Because America let our economic and industrial might bleed away, the closure of the border would wreck this country.

We import vital supplies from Mexico every day. I despise this, but it is a fact of life. We need them as much as they need us.

According to the NY Post, the 55-year-old woman from Queens who died of Swine Flu this past weekend had connection with the nonprofit FEGS Health and Human Services System in The Bronx.

I think it will be prudent for that building in the Bronx to be thoroughly disinfected.
