Twin sisters of College Point

Houses with open porches facing an old road. What an outdated idea.

Of course, now there's crap at the corner of 22nd Avenue and College Point Blvd. Twin sisters, actually. How do I know they're sisters? They're pink!
The contractor apparently had taken the day off from paving, so this mound of pebbles was left in the street - for cars to skid on.
Looks like they're taking great care not to damage those street trees. Need to walk here? Tough shit. Walk in the street.

Round the corner, at least there are some plywood boards to walk on.
Here's one of the girls in profile. Check out the violations. These look like 4 semi-attached 2-families... right?

I'm don't always agree with The Crapper--every once in a while on this site I see a new building that isn't so bad-looking. But I'm with you 100% on this one. These places are just outright hideous. Blecch.

Why on earth do people think pink brick looks nice?

I have to shield my eyes from this misery every time I pass by on College Point Blvd. Maybe the builder was going for the "Think Pink" look. I don't think he has a brain to think in the first place. See what happens when a lobotomy goes awry?

Cram 'em into their spanking new "luxury" barracks!

A new generation of "tweeded" takes up residence....
soon to be used as clubhouse fodder.

Who was it that said ,
"College point is the armpit of Queens" ?

It's certainly seems to be quickly becoming just that!
