Bloomie mentions Tweed in speech

Mayor Bloomberg gave his state of the city address yesterday.

"2008 is the 130th anniversary of the death of Boss Tweed. Let's also make it the year we finally put to rest his style of politics."

I'll believe it when I see it.

Ugh I don't know where to begin to address the Mayor's comments. Let's start with this line and get a true sense of your Mayor:

"That's why this year, we will build more classrooms at Rikers Island and make going to school there more attractive. And to keep inmates on the right path once they leave, we will link them to the benefits they need immediately upon release.

Where are the benefits to the middle class homeowner we need immediately whom live in Queens - a kick in the butt and dirt thrown on our face?

Crappy, the gnat that roars like a giant.

Funny, isn't it? That guy has been personal non grata for generations at city hall, now he has become a hot word coined by Crappy, and ...

Tell me SOMEONE is not following this board.

It IS funny to see something in Crappy, and then, be it a speech from a politician, a report from a city agency, or even an old line preservatinist saying something, you get a shadow of unique point that you know you read .... a few weeks before in Crappy.
