Jamaica Avenue row of crap

Apologies in advance for the blurriness of the photos, but rain will not stop the Crapper. 144-01 Jamaica Avenue was formerly a parking lot.
It was subdivided into 4 lots, each now containing a piece of Queens Crap that features a store at ground level and 2 residential units above.
These are some of the ugliest buildings along the old road.

The white apartment building with narrow windows on the first picture is crap as well.

Id rather live in a vintage 1950s high rise
low income housing project.

Even with the somewhat severe functional planning
that went into the design of these complexes to facilitate keeping construction costs down, they often included more trees, playgrounds and other amenities that made for living on a much more human scale.

If I lived in one of these units I think I'd have nightmares.

What is so bad about it? So it is not the Dakota but it seems decent. Do you just not like its size? Can the blog critics here name ANY development projects in Queens from the last few years that you actually like?

The building might be bearable to look at if it wasn't for those steel garage doors.

Those gates are where the storefronts will be.

I guess that makes me to have to admit that this building is bearable to look at...Yikes!

Crapper wins on this one. Sinfully ugly.
