Gallagher's next rally

It's nice to see that Councilman Dennis Gallagher hasn't slowed down any after last week's rally over an already closed halfway house in Maspeth. Today he'll hold one in Middle Village, this time in a bid to landmark Niederstein's on Metropolitan Avenue, which was torn down in 2005 and replaced with an Arby's. Next week, he'll be in Richmond Hill rallying to save the Simonson Funeral Home. Go get 'em, Pinky!

After he finishes with his Queens rally, maybe we can get Mr. Dennis Gallagher to come help those of us in Manhattan to save the Third Avenue El.

You have some very interesting political figures in Queens County. Where do you find these people?

I heard Dennis was going to hold a rally next week to save old Penn Station.

But then he found out that is was a historic building - and that ugly piece of crap would be built in it's place. So then he was all for ripping it down.

Believe it or not but I saw Gallagher and his wife last night at a business card exchange for the Maspeth Chamber of Commerce. Gallagher's wife was trying to drum up business for her construction company. Now you know why Gallagher wants to develop the St. Saviour's property and why he's not pushing Maspeth's downzoning proposal.

Enough with Gallagher already..... the guy is finished. Stay with and investigate Gioia, he takes big bucks from developers.

For those of you who wish to own a piece of what Dennis Gallagher & Robert Tierney was unproductive in preserving, should check out a vintage Neiderstein's postcard on ebay. It's item #160105506440.

"RIP Neiderstein's"

Dennis is really "on the ball," isn't he? Don't recall him holding a rally when Niederstein's was still standing. What a creep!

'Gallagher's wife was trying to drum up business for her construction company."

DIDN'T GALLAGHER'S WIFE WORK FOR THE SCHOOL CONSTRUCTION AUTHORITY? HMMM, I WONDER WHAT AREA OF CONSTRUCTION SHE'S IN NOW? DOES ANYBODY KNOW?

After I am finished at looking a Pinky efforts to save our landmarks, let me go over the the websites of certain city-wide groups and measure the space given over to the one borough that embraces 1/3 of NYC's landmass.

Does anyone out there have a microscope?

Gallagher's construction company?

You mean this one?

NY1 should investigate that link. So should DA Richard "I am standing up" Brown

How is it possible that their fax number, 718-381-2339 is also listed as a fax number for PS91 in Glendale?

Unbelievable...I heard this firm was involved with constructing a lot of schools and the Queens Center Mall's expansion...

Are you kidding me? This needs to be investigated. No joking.

that's what I call keepin' it in the family.

Wait, is this post serious? I'm a newcomer to Queens and am genuinely curious. This guy is actually holding a rally to save something that was already torn down? Why?

No it's a spoof on him. He wasted taxpayer money and police officers' time holding a rally a couple of weeks ago to protest a halfway house that had already been closed by the fire department. Sadly, the Pinkster never held a rally to save Niederstein's when there was actually still time to save it.

you should check out some of Gallagher's other dirty connections...you're getting waaaaaaaaaaaaaarmer...

I'm seriously thinking about fleeing the country.

Anonymous said...

If you're seriously considering fleeing the country you might suggest, for his own good, that Councilman Dennis Gallagher do the same.

Gallagher's bald head makes it easier for him to go on the "down low" when he's got to kiss a developer's ass!

Q. Which of the following have happened to JPCA members who dared to speak out against the abuse of power by Councilman Dennis P. Gallagher?

A) Lies about them were spread throughout the community
B) Bogus complaints about their home were called in to the Department of Buildings
C) They were thrown off the community board
D) They were sued by one of his cronies for $1 million
E) The councilman showed up at their house unexpectedly
F) An attempt was made to take away their livelihood
G) All of the above

If you answered G - “all of the above,” you’d be 100% correct!

In June, the Village Voice published an article about wiretapped conversations between Gallagher, Ognibene, and Ron Lattanzio, a CROOKED construction consultant who is at the center of a District Attorney investigation of the buildings department.

DETECTIVE HEARD Lattanzio offer Ognibene and Gallagher trips to Vermont and Disney World, and they discussed how to get a friend of Lattanzio hired in a prominent position in the city's buildings department.

Lattanzio testified in court that he did provide the gifts. GALLAGHER DID BRING HIS FAMILY TO DISNEY WORLD AFTER THAT.

Asked to comment on the allegations, Gallagher says, "I don't feel that there is anything to comment on. People who know me and Tom in this community know what kind of people we are."

YES MR. GALLAGHER, PEOPLE KNOW WHAT KIND OF PERSON YOU ARE. THEY KNOW THAT YOU ARE A PORNO PUSHING, LYING DEVIANT WITH ABSOLUTELY NO CONSCIENCE. YOU WILL BE EXPOSED. I HAVE PUT IN COMPLAINTS ABOUT YOUR ACTIVITIES AGAINST THE PEOPLE OF YOUR DISTRICT.

Gallagher is the biggest dirt bag abuser. Besides selling pornography from Christ the King Catholic High School and repeatedly abusing his female office workers, here's a list of his growing Dennis P. Gallagher legacy some of which can be found on Google:

• He routinely breaks the law using his taxpayer funded city council staff to work on his campaign.

• Took money from his indicted buddy Brian McLaughlin- who stole millions from everyone including a little league.

• Formed a secret political organization and illegally funded it with cash.

• Strong-armed a neighborhood volunteer who would not do his bidding.

• Corrupted the Department of Buildings process by helping a crooked building consultant.

• Took an all-expense paid trip to Disney World with his family through an illegally rigged contest funded by that crooked building consultant.

• Used taxpayer dollars to fund a politically motivated war on a local civic association.

• Got an Israeli Company, with highly suspect background, to hire his buddy's public relations firm and is now "negotiating" with them to destroy land with historically significant importance to our national heritage.

The list goes on, how's is this guy not behind bars?

Read all about the bribe to Gallagher:

On May 13, 1997, (detectives) intercepted phone conversations and faxes between Lattanzio's secretary and a Brooklyn travel agency. "Re: Prize letter," a fax from Lattanzio's office to the agency was headed. "Let me know if these are ok," was the note on the cover sheet. What followed were two letters, one addressed to Gallagher and the other to Ognibene, informing them that they had won first and second prize, respectively, in the travel agency's annual business-card drawing.

"Dear Mr. Ognibene," read the letter to the councilman. "We wish to congratulate you as our 2ND PLACE PRIZE WINNER. You were chosen out of our yearly business card drawing to receive a trip to the [Manchester, Vermont] Equinox Hotel and Spa." Accommodations would include: a townhouse suite with fireplace, a bottle of wine on arrival, a book from the Times' bestseller list, an "Equinox tartan throw," breakfast, dinner, and use of the fitness spa.

Gallagher's letter awarded him a "vacation for four" to Disney World in Florida. Making their own inquiries, detectives learned the cash value of Gallagher's trip was about $3300; Ognibene's was worth $1050.

"The chances of Ognibene and Gallagher taking first and second prize in an honest 'business-card drawing' are remote to say the least," detectives stated in an affidavit to the court. "Rather it is much more likely that the letters were written to provide a cover for a bribe."

The same day that the bogus prize letters were being faxed, detectives heard Lattanzio phone Ognibene's office.

"Hey baby," Lattanzio was greeted by Ognibene's secretary. She put him right through to Gallagher, who put Lattanzio on speaker phone with himself and the councilman.

THIS SHOWS WHAT A CORRUPT AND DISHONEST POLITICIAN GALLAGHER IS.

GALLAGHER TOOK THAT TRIP TO DISNEY WORLD.
more to follow....
