Building collapse at Atlantic Yards

Curbed has the scoop:

BREAKING CurbedWire: Atlantic Yards Building Partial Collapse

Seems the parapet which was at the top of the building (duh) fell off following the start of demolition work on the building and heavy rains.

"Can the neighborhood look forward to this quality of work from Forest City Ratner for the next 20 - 40 years?"

Again?

The agency that supervises this is threatening the life New Yorkers and should be investigated.

Maybe our elected officials can tear themselves away from spreading malicious dissention (Sunnyside) and outright falsehoods (Con Ed) to take this up.

Hmm, a POS building in the Atlantic Yeards collapses... yeah, let's keep them all up and kick out FCR. Clearly that's a site for preservation, not renewal. I mean, who's want to live someplace safe? Where's the thrill?

Has anyone seen the ass licking "puff piece" current issue of Ackerman's Queens Trib?

All the "great businesses" of our borough are highlighted. There's a doosey on the Mattone Group. "Daddy" Joe Mattone Senior......pictured....looking like a real estate thug in his College Pt. headquarters.

He mentions in the interview that he teemed up years back with our own Atlantic Yards Bruce Ratner.

Before that Mattone got his start building gas stations!
