Liu's phones were tapped for 2 years

From the Daily News:

PHONES BELONGING to City Controller John Liu were among those secretly wiretapped during a probe into his campaign fund-raising operation that dated to 2009, new court papers revealed Monday.

The feds had 10 wiretaps on six different phones belonging to Liu and several others connected to his campaign for more than 18 months in 2010 and 2011, according to the documents filed in Manhattan Federal Court.

The wiretaps intercepted thousands of calls from March 2010 to September 2011, the filing by lawyers for former Liu campaign Treasurer Jia (Jenny) Hou notes.

Her attorney, Gerald Lefcourt, said the investigation of Liu began in 2009 when a confidential source approached the FBI with information about a campaign donor. Liu began serving as controller in January 2010.

I guess we will have to wait and see. I wonder if there were any conversations with the Huangs recorded.

Can't wait for the answer to that question?

Put that in your egg roll and eat it, Johnny boy!

Oops...
maybe Liu will be soon staring at cellmate Bubba brandishing his egg roll in prison

Have a nice day Mr. Comptroller.

This is only the beginning.
More trees are about to fall in the forest.

I'll bet that tip about Liu came from Norman Hsu...
who is currently doing time in (I believe) a federal lock -up.

Wait until Jimmy Meng does some "singing".

The big fortune cookie is beginning to crumble...
and what does the little paper message inside read?

"Oriental cash pipeline soon close to USA politicians.
No more laundry money".

Congressman Ackerman has already decided to resign
before the ax falls upon his crooked neck.

Maybe Brian Mc Laughlin rolled over on his Asiatic donors too, in exchange for a shorter jail term.

This federal dragnet is going to bring in a boatload
of stinking fish when it's hauled in.

Good work you FBI guys 'n gals!

America IS NOT for sale to Taiwan or China!

It was a long time coming
but FBI investigations generally take about 5 years.

The feds have the patience of an Oriental when it comes to gathering evidence for a solid case.

Liu and his associates have been hooked good.

No use struggling...they're about to be cooked!

Now everybody will be scurrying about
and ratting out their accomplices to cut their sentences.

What a show !

I want a front row seat
when Mr. Comptroller and mayoral wannabee, John Liu, appears in court.

When are they going to tap Christine Quinn's phone lines? Better yet, when are they going to listen in to the entire City Council?

Jerry, 3 small limones, a medium aranciata, and a quart of spumoni to go.
