Crap tank lighting ceremony

The sewage treatment plant in Greenpoint was lit Tuesday night in a blue hue. I sent Miss Heather an e-mail saying she just had to get photos of the ceremony. She came through - not only with photos, but also with a 10 minute movie. Oh, how our government keeps those of us in the outer boroughs entertained!

I understand you may not like the placement of the tanks but you cannot deny that any additional infrastructure being built in this city is a step in the right direction.

Did I say I didn't like the placement of the tanks? I think it's hilarious that lighting them up is a social event. Sheesh, what is with people this morning?

This thing is disgusting! The company I work for has a facility right over there and I have to go there from time to time and it smells really really bad. I also smell it when I drive from the midtown tunnel over the expressway and at other times. It's a total POS that NYC dumped on the Queens/Bklyn border and now all the "CRAP-tractors" are building large buildings/condos to house people in this neighborhood. Wait till they get a load of the stink in mid-summer! Christ it's bad in the winter when it's cold!

They can pretty it up with lights and stainless steel and whatever else. But whatever they do it's still a pile of SHIT that looks like one of Madonna's bra's from years ago! THERE IS NO WAY IN HELL YOU CAN PRETTY UP A TURD OR MAKE IT SMELL ANY BETTER WHEN THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT IT IS, A TURD MACHINE!

Thanks NYC... Betcha didn't even think of putting that on the upper east or west side!

If you think that thing makes a stink, you should come to Astoria where we experience what is possibly the worst stink imaginable. In the winter it is horrid, in the summer it is atrocious. I hope Bloomie & Co. are happy!! And where pray tell does Ms. Emily Lloyd live?? I bet not anywhere in Queens!!

What a waste of lights. Turn them off! It's bad enough having to see these tanks at daytime, but at night too?!
