Poll results are in

21% of you thought the Queens Ledge's banner would hold on until Thanksgiving. But the 79% majority of you had the funny feeling that it would split before then and become even more of an eyesore. You were right. A Maspeth resident wrote in to say that he observed that the sign had finally torn from top to bottom on November 11th, but was somehow fastened up so that it didn't fall off the building. And here's photographic proof.

Good gravy...why doesn't he take it down already?

It would be better to not have a sign than to have one that looks like that.

Isn't that the paper that displays a community eyesore of the week? Have they ever featured their own building?

The vice chair of the community board owns that paper. Maspeth is in good hands.

The vice-chair of the community board is in bed with all the political hacks. I pray for Maspeth everyday. It's time for Mr. Sanchez to go. Perhaps he could enroll in some college courses, i.e. grammar, english and spelling. Then the locals could actually read and comprehend his newspapers.

wonder if they'll try to piece the sign back together, again, with scotch tape or something?

Isn't this the paper that has an "Eyesore of the week" section where readers can submit pictures of their nabe's worst violators?

*hint, hint *
