First full of gas; next full of crap?

Neighbors uniformly came out against a proposed mixed-use development in Elmhurst at a public hearing Tuesday night before Community Board 4's land use committee.

The project, located at 74-21 Queens Blvd., would replace a former gas station in a commercial zone. The developers are requesting a variance from the city to allow for the nine-story structure, which would include ground-floor retail and 56 residential units.
