Maybe we ought to update Bartholdi's masterpiece by encrusting it with diamonds like a pimp's encrusted Rolex watch !
This way there will be no doubt or confusion, that New York is a city that welcomes and respects only its wealthy classes !
No others need apply for residence here......unless you plan to enter service for the rich !

If you do......dormitories will be provided in the outer boroughs where some sub standard quarters are still available !!!
