Yes, what this city needs are more pharmacies ...and more banks!

In the Queens Ledge, someone is actually quoted as saying that pharmacies are one of the things they love about Maspeth... now you understand why there are so many of them. People patronize them.

Only banks and big chain drug stores can afford the high rents that are being charged nowadays !

H-m-m-m.....wait a minute folks......there's something ironic in all this !

Is it to be....DRUGS and MONEY.... that are the only cost effective means of doing business in our "modern" city ? !!!

Small business rent control would be a positive remedy here....but... the mega all-powerful NYC real estate lobby will never permit that !

Beware the PROLIFERATION OF BANKS in a neighborhood !

It is an early warning sign of the future decline of that area's ability to sustain a good quality of life !
It indicates step #1 that a residential neighborhood is being earmarked for overdevelopment !

This has already happened in downtown Flushing....is currently underway in Bayside....and who knows where it will strike next !

Since many new americans get paid in cash (taxes, we don need no stinken taxes) and send their money home (if the business leaders don't invest in the community, why should the people?) you are going to need plenty of banks with special services that speak your language.
