Beat-the-clock crap

This property at 66-39 79th Place in Middle Village was no longer used by its previous owner and was put up for sale. Naturally, a developer snapped it up.
Now we'll be getting 4 units of crap, housing 3 families apiece. The foundation for this was poured just prior to the rezoning of the area. That was more than a year ago and these ugly oversized things are still being built.

Funny how long it takes to build these things. They do a little bit, then get some new financing, then do a little bit, then ....

Hmmmm. "Miele Associates"? Any relation to the former DOB Commissioner Joel Miele?

Cram 'em in and don't bother to improve the utilities or infrastructure!

That's the new homeowners' problem .....let's say....if the sewer backs up....for instance!

That'll make it a genuine piece of "Queens crap"!

Is it me, or does anyone else see that all these new buildings are starting to look more and more alike? The same oversized railings, the same hanging junkyards, the same fussy doors, the same concrete over every square inch of front yard.

I especially love the way it looks like the builder ran out of bricks on the unit to the left and, instead, used natural stone. It makes the entire building that much more hideous.

This building is 2 doors down from St. Margarets on an already congested block. With a fire hydrant right out front, where are the cars for the new owners going to park?

Yes, this piece of crap is right around the corner from a bigger piece of crap, Councilman Dennis Pee Gallagher's office.
