Well that's some weird footage. Surprising that whatever was going on there, it wasn't being reported/promoted by the local news this hallows week

Good reporting George as usual on Steinway.

In regards to the top photo, I though former Queens Borough President died. Guess I was wrong.

HAPPY HAUNTING.

Isn't if great that Costa can spend millions to tear up a perfectly fine Astoria Park running track and replace it with - another running track costing millions of wasted tax dollars,

but doesn't have a dime for the mansion.

Astoria Values.

(rest of the guests, if you were there send in your pictures to Crappie)

Probably something like the orgy scene from "Eyes Wide Shut".

Doesn't that make our community look great - the Steinway Mansion all we can think of is to hold Halloween Parties with it.

If you wanted to scare us, you could have just used photos of Karen Koslowitz, Toby Stavisky, or Leroy Comrie.

I moved to City Island across Hawkins park, City Island Ave was packed shoulder to shoulder with kids, parents and even elderly, all in costumes. Even a horse drawn wagon with people dressed up like frontier Mexicans.
Haven't seen a Halloween and decorating like this since the 1960es

I was in Ridgewood earlier today, not much by comparison, why does Queens have near nothing ?
--Its so friggan sad how a whole culture has been irradiated & vaporized

Because Queens is a backdrop for a tiny clique of insiders who call all the shots, who make its reality, and who don't give a crap about anyone or anything but themselves. They take and do not give. Welcome to the society of 1018 AD.

They insure that you are either a clueless drone, or ignored to oblivion.

We should get rid of the borough system and have one city government, library system, etc.

Dunno about the rest of the borough but throughout Maspeth/Elm there were lots of trick-or-treaters in cute costumers and people giving out candy from their stoops, including myself. The local stores did so too. It was nice.

My bell rang once for Halloween,it isn't the same from my 70 year old memories of my youth.I can remember hoards of kids going door to door and some hitting each other with chalk socks, some threw eggs and shaving cream and there were those who did mischief like cutting wash lines and knocking over trash cans.I don't see any of the mess of Halloween's of long ago. Most of the kids who are trick and treaters go to the businesses, maybe the parents feel it's safer.I hear other neighborhoods have lots of kids going door to door though but not by me for years now.
