The influential The Parkside Group consulting firm has hired a former Andrew Cuomo aide.
Paul Thomas will serve as a Parkside Vice-President and work out of the group's New York City office.
Thomas was the assistant director of intergovernmental and community affairs under Cuomo in the Attorney General's office. He served as a liaison to federal, state, and local government officials.
He also has worked for the City Council and both houses of the state Legislature, including for Assemblyman Carl Heastie (D-Bronx), Sen. Kevin Parker (D-Brooklyn) and City Councilwoman Maria Baez (D-Bronx). He also worked on Carl McCall’s 2002 gubernatorial campaign.

Parkside....rather....Darkside continues to be a spreading malignancy that will soon poke its tentacles directly into Washington....if it already hasn't.

God knows they are likely the biggest posters on ol Crappy trying to draw attention away from community boards, the Queens Albany and Washington delegations, and City Council - and directing the public's ire towards the mayor, Con Ed, and the MTA.

What about Grodenchik, who was employed as a lobbyist by Parkside and lobbied on behalf of Claire Shulman's LDC, then disappeared from Parkside just as the NYS Attorney General began an investigation into the alleged illegality of lobbying by Shulman's LDC?
Grodenchik resurfaced as Queens Deputy Borough President. But he still has a lot of explaining to do about the Shulman lobbying and his vanishing from Parkside.
