Subway connection finally open

From NY1:

It took a little more than 20 years from inception, but the new Court Square Subway Station complex in Long Island City is finished, and should make transfers quicker, cheaper and more comfortable.

The elevators and escalators complement the moving sidewalks and allow free transfers among the E, M, G and 7 lines, and the Northeast corner of Jackson Avenue and 23rd Street without having to hit the street.

Some 20,000 riders use the complex each weekday, and many say it's something they've waited years for.

Now I can get to the Highline Park faster when I take the G train from Court Square.

I can't wait to go to NJ on the #7 - a grand idea!

The moving sidewalks never work, I wonder how long it will take for those escelators to go down.

The G-7-E-F-M is now a major hub.

Perhaps the MTA will stop treating the G, especially its two Queens sections, like a government mule (I imagine the mules had less neglect than the Court Sq and Van Alst stations.)

And, maybe the people mover will get fixed.

The #7 will never be connected to NJ. Maybe our great grandkids will see it.

The first day I made the connection, the down escalator was turned off.

If the #7 goes to NJ, it better be 100% NJ Taxpayer funded, since it will be of NO BENEFIT to anyone in NY.

The west end of the #7 will go to New Jersey when the east end goes to Connecticut

So the project to make a 4-block hub from the 59th Street on the N/R and the 63rd Street F will begin?
