I got a real kick out of the corner attached home on 39th and 192nd Street - the owner I guess wanted to make it look like those horrific new construction stucco-ish "terra cotta" color!!

THIS truly is one for the books!

I pass down that street everyday and it's the only one on the entire long block that's ruined the brick look.
It made me thing of conformity vs.self-expression.
If I wanted to self-express, I wouldn't do it in a way that offended all of my neighbors (and look so damned cheesy like that).
Why not paint, sculpt, do photography, hell, paint your car pink with lavender racing stripes.

At the same time he refaced the house and removed his lawn, he also created an illegal driveway on 192nd st. I've reported it to 311 several times but to the best of my knowledge no one ever came to look at it.

you missed the four story(two in the ground) and two above) ,250-300 day care kids center in process now.

a donor of john liu"s was permitted to build this on a mapped street at 196-29 42avenue. it has no parking space, drop off or pickup capability.

this corner at Francis Lewis Blvd, across from P.S.130,has been the site of a pupil killed by speeding cars.

it is owned by the KON WAH DAY CARE of flushing, with space at liu"s old office building.

i think the new CM,flushing is also located there and got donations from KON WAH.

HAH - I guess that shows us which community members matter most!

If I wanted to self-express I wouldn't by an attached house that looks a lot like its neighbors!

I'm self-expressing right now. Did you know it's hard to type with only one hand?
