"Hey Crapper,
Thought you'd like to see the latest crap to hit Long Island City, its called The Vere or Vere 26, not really sure how to pronounce this crappy building is it Veer, Vera, Ver, anyway... It's designed by one of the worst architects in NYC, Robert Scarano, who was forced to give up his self-certification privileges and had a law named after him "The Scarano Law."
It's an ugly glass thing that has glass on 2 sides but i guess a stucco on two others that just look horrible, plus these beams that stick out everywhere with no purpose at all, and once the building gets built next to it on Purves Street, those beams will be obstructed by whatever facade the new building will have, on the other side is a huge wall of lot line windows, that will be fun once someone builds on that side...
The Interior Crap is done by Andres Escobar, whoever that is, and is full of Zebra Wood, Leather & Metallic Tiles, can someone say FAD. I watched this building go up as my favorite coffee shop Sage used to be across the street and i am extremely disappointed. Plus those people who are paying millions for an apartment with a view are gonna be upset when they find out there view won't last thanks to 10 Court Square which will be built directly in front of it...
The Vere is at 26-26 Jackson Avenue, in Long Island City, near Court Square. www.vere26.com
here are some pics...
Thanks"

This post is all lies.
1. Scarano was never found to have done anything wrong. It was a political witch-hunt, and it failed.
2. There is no "Scarano law". Hilarious! There should be a Queens Crap law! Crap posts full of crap! Just take what you read from the Crapper and you know the opposite is true!
Sigh . . . that building will look outdated and wretched in a few years. . . then again, maybe the architect designed the structure only to last until the next real estate bubble, when another developer can tear it down and build something even more hideous.
How is the post all lies when there are links verifying the information presented?
The trolls are starting to get antsy!
I do believe the developer is Tommy Huang. He owns property on my block and the name Vere Vera, which ever, is the name. This guy builds crap and is full of it too.
More bitterness and jealousy about Long Island City!
This post does have misinformation. Those apartments aren't selling for "millions". And I don't see how most apartments will lose their views based on where the office buildings will go up.
There was a robbery there last night at that new building on Purves Street. Three guys with guns, pretending to be cops. Not sure if it was inside or outside.
I never understood the exposed beams. I thought that maybe they were running low on cash and had to redo the plans.
Just another ugly building to torment us. I wish they had never hired Hellen Keller to design the appearance of all of our buildings. Now she is everywhere and apparently quite rich.
I think the exposed beams are a way to get around zoning laws that require the building to have a streetwall up to a certain height. There's one like that in Bushwick, too, also with an exoskeleton, called Olive Park Condos, also by Scarano, everybody's favorite zoning-law evader.
Tommy Huang has proven to be found to hire scab illegal, unskilled labor. He is the enemy.
It won't be long until your apartments' flood with your upstair's neighbors' backed up toilets, your a/c CRAPS out for good and costs YOU $10,000 to replace because the landlord has signed a waiver stating it's not his responsibility, your floor buckles from being laid down with the wrong TOXIC cancer-causing made in China glue, your paint peels because your walls weren't primed and your bed falls through your floor onto the your neighbors bed downstairs as they are trying to get some sleep, but can't because they can hear you farting all night!
Loser newbies. You will find out the hard way! Welcome to New York!
